1977 924S special edition..

Possible soon for sale. Not familiar with it at all but it's very intriguing.. Any idea what it could be worth and if it's collectible?

I wonder how many were made. And $9k seems quite cheap.. I thought these cars would be more. I don't have any experience with the 924 models but wanted to test the market with this one. Maybe it's the Martini theme that I really like.. Lol

Is it collectable...?

I say YES, I think it has a lot of cool factor.

Very cool way to own a truly low mileage vintage Porsche for around $10k.

Bringing back some serious memories of my first Porsche - got it when I was 18. Drove it from Connecticut to Arizona for university. Drove it for many, many years. These early 924s have not received the recognition they deserve. They are actually very good and very practical cars. Sure the Audi powerplant grumbles and rumbles but they hold a lot and are extremely easy to maintain. Good buy for sure. Biggest mistake I made after owning the car? Thinking the 924 Turbo would be a step up. The Turbo was a nightmare...

I always liked the look of the 924, particularly from a head-on angle at the nose. If I had the space and had a little extra funds I'd love to pick up a clean 924.

1977 924S special edition

Just to pick nits with the OP- NOT a 924S, as that was in most ways a whole different and better car than the posted version and really 944 based.

As Doug said. The Martini is not an S - it has the Audi engine. The S had the 944 driveline and engine with a bit lower compression.

Cool car though.
