1972 911 T Numbers matching project- Value?
 

I have a ton of projects and was curious what you think a 1972 911T #'s matching would go for sold as is. I have been too busy with other projects to finish it and have been debating on selling it. I want to finish it, just no time and may need the garage space.

It has the original motor is fully rebuilt by AASE motors (rebuilt MFI pump, everything refinished and new) Beautiful! $$$$$!
The original trans (not rebuilt but working).
Car came with the desireable"S" options (Metal S bumper, S calipers, upgraded Shocks)
No sunroof
No rust other than front pan that was replaced. There is a little surface rust on back shelf that can be brushed off (half dollar circle) Pans/rockers are great.
Original blue plate California car.
The entire car is stripped down, with parts labeled and bagged
Refinished suspension pieces (powder coated)
New Koni Shocks all around
Refinished/rebuilt calipers/brakes (correct finishes)
New welded in front pan.
Car is on a Dolly waiting for paint.
It has leather interior which is in good shape (taken out and cleaned but preserve patina)
Needs a new dash (normal crack) and new carpet kit/headliner.
Fully refinished window trim
Originally Silver metallic, but a victim of resale red from the 80's
Refinished correct 15x6 Fuchs
Tons of new parts


I was thinking $40k, is that reasonable?

That's a great start for someone wanting to do a build.
Seems very reasonable since we've seen pure junk going for 20's to 30's.....

Thanks for the info. I received a ton of PM's. Consensus is $40-$45k due to it being a 72, and numbers matching. Not to mention the primo, nothing held back engine rebuild. The others were people interested in it.
I'm still unsure if I want to sell it. However, I think it would be hard to say no at that amount. I'm beating myself up about it.

Just the engine would cost $25-30k to build today, in your core. I bet if you put it at 50 you wouldn't have to come far off your ask to close a deal.

how much percent would you say a '72 is over the other long hoods?

Since you don't really want to sell, I would put it at $50k and wait for the right buyer to come along. If the markets not there now it will be soon.

How much would this change if it was a 73T?
