Looks like a 35k plus car. Looks super nice.
Those sports seats are beautiful.

I would be a buyer at $35K knowing the head leak needs fixed that you mentioned in another thread. PM me if interested. I am a dealer. Thanks, Jeffrey

I would say this is a low 40s to right buyer. Sport seats. All original. Very low mileage. 35k would be a steal.

The '89 C4 is sort of an icon. They depreciated very badly through the years as the AWD system is a tremendous achievement though complicated. I would agree that the low 40s would be on for this one. So many were beat with the lights on the dash lit up like a tree, to find a clean one is a treat in itself. A future classic for sure.

Start at $55k. And go down from there, that said I'll give you $21k for it right now

Is anyone else curious how the OP has been a member of Pelican since 1969?

Baezventures 11-09-2015 07:54 AM

Thanks for the input. I am going to probably take it to Jones and see what can be done. I just had $6K worth of work done on it and it might be the best example of a Carrera 4 I have seen yet. TH Dude, regarding the 1969 profile thing..I have been on the boards for years and quite frankly never noticed it and not sure it's a big deal. I am 47 years old if you are wondering how hold I really am. :)

I have seen low miles extremely nice early 964's sell into the $50's. From the pictures of you car and from your thread about the oil leaks I dont think this is a 50's car. To fix the oil leaks correctly with the labor and machine work its going to be a lot. The wheels are later 993 wheels and the tail lights look blacked out (may just be the photos). The more original the better for the selling price. As it sits...$35K ? Maybe $40K

So, I agree. Get the car checked out. See how much the repair is. If you don't want to mess with the repair come up with a price minus repair minus convenience minus unknown/risk factor. I might be a buyer. Loves me some red coupes.

Bring it to Canada, you can get $55-65K here for it...

Not quite 100% original, wheels are not original. Easy swap though if you can still find a set of those original flat wheels. Date matching might be hard though if you're really picky.

Racerbvd 11-17-2015 06:00 PM

I have the correct wheels if you need them.
