It is solid underneath. See, right under the car - that ground is very solid.

That is indeed a bizarre ad.

And then there's this one from BHCC. They feel important to stress in the brief ad copy that it's had the "same owner for many years" Cause we know how risky it is to buy a car with too many PO's!!

This really has the makings of a classic thread - especially in this market. It's got me hunting for ads. Please keep them coming because it was a great laugh - the two of them.

I was on the subway around 1AM this morning. I think this seller was on board screaming about ISIS and the Germans.

This one is my favourite. Here is the full ad for those that want more.

1967 Porsche 912 | Beverly Hills Car Club

I like the way they point out that it "will make a strong parts car".

I see only a door handle and perhaps a few gauges that are savable! Perhaps I'm very out of touch with what these cars are worth though.

Here's the other "car" he's selling. Hate to see what they build out of these two wrecks. Memo to self - don't buy a "restored" 911 from South Windsor CT!!

I think I answered my own question - here's a link to their project page on fb. I'm trying to decide whether I should be impressed with the amount of work they're tackling to save an early car, or alarmed that this thing is going back on the road. In any case, they're doing a good job of documenting everything.

Pretty strong attitude for a car that is wrong in so many ways:

Mirrors, badges, door panels, back-dated carbs & air cleaner, etc.
Claims 95% of engine parts were replaced for only $8,800 parts & labor???
Doesn't know Weber was an Italian company?
Oh, and only 34k miles yet the full rebuild was required because the PO drove it so
hard?
Text offers will be deleted by the wife?

Bottom seats have some rips and has a replacement windshield. Car was repainted a few years ago but the car only has 34K original. He's as full of **** as the day is long.

techweenie 04-30-2016 12:59 PM

I like the passenger side mirror carefully placed where it cannot be seen from the driver's seat. What looks like aluminum sheet covering the door panels. "928 wheels?"

Peru Red is a cool color. But it looks like he repainted it generic resale red.

I wonder if anyone has tried to tell this guy the car is not a '72...
