7x9x16 Fuchs value

Hello fellas,
I tried in the market place to get an estimate of what a mint sets of 7 inch and 9 inch Fuchs are selling for these days. Anyone provide some insight. These are polished

McLaren-TAG 11-22-2015 04:40 AM

Well north of 5k I'm sure.

I'd say $5k is going to be high.

"Mint" usually implies an original finish. Polished wheels can be done in a few different ways; just the lips, or the lips and the paddles, etc. There are people that like polished 16's but others who don't, since the factory never supplied wheels like that. Who did the work is also important. Someone might pay a higher price for an Al Reed job than some no-name wheel repair company, which itself might be more valuable than something you did yourself in your garage. Then, were the wheels perfect before polishing, or were they polished to get rid of some curb damage? Etc., etc.

More info would help, along with pictures.

Are you looking for a fast sale? There's 2 sets of really nice looking 7/8s in the classified section that are not selling 1 for 2500 the other for 3500. So if you want a fast sale maybe 2000 will move them. How many people are looking for 9s? This is the best time of the year to sell. So if those others aren't selling prices are to high. 2 years ago I paid 1700 for fully polished 7/8s.

Lookin them again they aren't as good as I thought. The 7s are in good shape and 9s have some chipping on the chrome

AAAAAGGH! They've been chromed. That's the death knell for fuchs. Be lucky to get a grand, unfortunately.

Chrome and polished are not the same thing. Chrome is usually not wanted on these wheels. The early style polished paddles appearance, coupled with the red paint and chrome, really limits your market. This are going to be hard to sell, I'm afraid.

Best of luck,
JR

Chromed and corroding. Not a good combo. Still likely $1800-2200 for the set.

Thanks for a realistic number. The wheels are all as straight as can be with no curb rash at all

Are you open to any trades for them?
