Enclosed Auto Transport
Can anyone recommend a carrier for Maine to Florida enclosed? Buyer of my SC coupe is looking and Intercity has a backlog until after Christmas.

Reliable carriers? I never used them but I'll look at them as an alternative to intercity when the time comes.

All the trucks are running snow birds right now...Get on the list with Intercity, and call Mike (734-453-6677) at Reliable...You'll get worked in since you are right on the migration route....Be patient.

Try transportmasters, main office is in Florida. They ship everywhere and anything, especially enthusiasts cars.. Ask for owner Dave. He's a car guy, vintage racer and all around good guy. Exotic & Classic Car (Kirk) 770.899.0763 - I use enclosed shipping all the time for all my cars and these are the guys that I have been extremely impressed with. They use small trailer (2-3 cars) and usually pick my cars right away or in a week the latest. Also, their prices are very fair. You can mention that Dick Barbour Performance gave you the recommendation. They are really nice guys.
Arthur Finneyfrock 240.586.4754 - We use him, especially for picking up cars from up north and he does a great job! Also small 2-3 car trailer. However, it's been awhile since we used Arthur because he is running his company solo and it usually takes a bit for him to pick a car up. But maybe he has spots open, so would definitely check. We tend to stay away from big carriers (Reliable, VIP Transport, etc) because they usually carry 6-8 cars at a time, and it takes forever to have one picked up or dropped off, as they make numerous stops all over. |
