89 Carrera Backdate, $180k.
Nice car, checks a lot of boxes for many, I am sure.... but the price?

Nice, but I could think of a dozen ways and cars to do spend that kind of dough on and have money to spare.....

Beautiful but can't see it being worth $180K. I'd rather buy an original long hood and have the extra money left over! Plus an original would continue to rise in value whereas this one, maybe not so....

For 180K Id figure you would get a dash and door card back date too, some winning features of the early cars were spartan interiors...

Well at least it's in CAD dollars, maybe if their dollar continues to drop and they are willing to work on the price, it could be okay instead of crazy...

Cut the price in half and it's still too much. Tim

What a fantastic looking backdate. I wonder who did the work as I think that will have a bearing on the price. If its all metal and done by one of the pedigree shops I can see it maybe being worth 100k. Cars like this sell for a fortune across the pond from shops like Autofarm and Paul Stephens.
Didn't Autosport Design in long island recently sell a viper green backdate for this kind of money. Last edited by whiterabbit; 12-08-2015 at 08:31 AM.. |
