1998 Porsche Boxster Error Code: P0717, P0722, P0455
So, I recently bought a 1998 Porsche boxster automatic. I was driving it and the check engine light turned on after a couple days. The error code was P0455 which was an evap leak, and I was told its still okay to drive it.
I was going to get it replaced however I didn't get a chance to yet. As I was driving yesterday, all of a sudden the red light was flashing from drive (D) to the gear (4) back and forth. I then lost all acceleration control and it seemed like no power was going to the wheels, and I was stuck in neutral or first gear. I forced it up a hill to park it somewhere safer, and then the error codes P0717 and P0722 showed up. I did some research on what these error codes display which have to do with the input and output to the computer. It might be able easy fix of the sensor or it might be even more major. As a person that tries to save money I was hoping I could find some advice or anyone that could help me with any suggestions on what I should do. I got the car towed to my house and now it is parked in my garage. |
