Please someone who is blessed with money out there at this time of the year please buy me and my wife's car the only car we own here's the emergency my wife is 9 months pregnant and as of yesterday is in jail on false charges if it matters to anyone my point of selling is I need some type of a down payment to get her out I can prove to you she is inoccent if you need to know she is not a thug gang banger or bad person wait til you see her she's not the jail type and I can't straighten anything out because of coarse it is thanksgiving! And courts are closed and its a long weekend she went to court and they remanded her on her first appearance I don't know why they would do this to her it makes no sense I need SOMEONE to buy our 2002 Chevy cavalier like now its a good car not junk it is a daily driver and it is a four door no body damage or engine damage we have had this car for a few months now and zero problems this is the only asset I have at the moment we're both not working I get paid on the first so I'll have to fork over my whole check come Monday which means loosing our place to live but I will to get her out but I'd rather sell the car and not do that we have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and she's pregnant I can't have my family homeless please if. Someone reading this out there has a good heart please buy our Car I been praying all night than I thought sell the car instead loosing our house so who ever needs a legit good 2002 Chevy cavalier in 8 out of 10 over all condition for cheap please call or text serious callers please please don't get my hopes up I'm a grown man 33 and she's 29 and I can't bare to have her go into labor stressed out 9 months pregnant please someone help!!!!

Same here. This is probably just a silly made up post that some people seem to enjoy creating as they make fun of certain racial or ethnic groups.

However, there are plenty of real people who face these types of decisions....do I pay rent or pay the doctor? Do I buy food or buy gas for the car?

For one minute, let's just assume the ad and this individual's story and predicament is true...how is this funny? Real people out there with real needs. Life goes around in circles. What you have now might not be the same in a few years. Just saying.

Agreed... My heart sank when I read the ad. True or not, this is a very real situation that too many people face these days.

I'm not understanding why anyone would bare their soul on craigslist..... or how the police have a fully pregnant woman in custody without cause.

In any case, the medical care while incarcerated is good and the child will be fine. If there is one, I'm not so sure I buy it. But it is either true and sad or a lie and sad.

My point being I was looking for a 911 project on CL and the only thing that made me laugh was the search engine ability to find the "911" written in the head of the ad... The ad itself:, I've never seen an ad on CL, rensport or fleabay written like that. Sad story if true... If it's a fake ... Still sad...

Sometimes people who are without a lot of resources have a bunch of really bad things happen to them that wouldn't happen to people like us - who expect logic, reason, compassion, etc. from institutions. It's been dismissed as 'victim mentality,' but it's a real thing for people who just can't manage to "catch a break." Sooner or later in life, you'll meet someone who, given a range of options, will always choose the worst and end up in dire predicaments. This could be one of those people.

As to how much of the CL listing is real, who knows?

Bunch a hypocrites...ok which one of you bleeding hearts took the time to find out if this was a hoax, and if not, offered to help the guy out? I didn't think so...Most of the guys replying make a living selling stuff, basically taking advantage of buyers ignorance or need. I would make a bet that most are not truthful when filing their taxes.... Way too PC these days...
