Q: Any value in blank but unusable 7R case?
 

I bought a basketcase engine few years ago, it had spinned main bearing (don't ask me how is that possible lol :D). Noticed that the case had no engine type or serial number stamped making it possibly replacement case.

Any value in it as perhaps someone would want to include matching number case with the sale or something? Not looking for any high dollar or something, just to get info and maybe trade something for it...

Spun bearings can still be remachined for oversize bearings. That case definitely has value. Might even be worth $1000 or more to the right guy.

Always has value as a neat coffee table if your wife is more understanding than mine.

Yes, tbale came to my mind, but rather in the garage than living room ;) I have set of non-usable Birals too that look nice from outside when cleaned up so maybe I will mock-up a table with glass laying on Zeniths :)

And make a lamp out of the crank and rods.
