Not engine but transmission - ring & pinion - but maybe you knew that. I don't recognize the codes though and can't find anything with a search.

The 4 digit number is the matching number. It should appear on both pieces. The other numbers are set up dimensions and a production date. It is the week and the year with the Getrag logo between them. 8:31 ratio from an SC or 3,2 915 gearbox. Worth $500-600 if you are looking to sell it. Hard to seeyooth condition from the pictures though.
