Very Early 65 912 rusty project value?

I have a friend considering selling his very early 65 912. Jan-Feb built? I can't post the vin as it's not my car but I will say it's in the first 100. It's very rusty - Needs floors, suspension pan and almost every other panel touched but it is restorable for an ambitious body man. It has a correct early 65 engine that is disassembled (not verified matching but could be). The trans is there. It has most of the interior. Original color is blue with red interior.

The car is not for sale yet.

$2-12k. What is the engine number? Pretty easy to tell if it is the range for being correct for an early car without needing to know exactly what the VIN is. When your friend is serious about selling, pictures and numbers will be critical in narrowing down a value.

Ir would have to look like the wreck at BHCC to be worth $2k.

The interior bits common to a 65 911 are worth more than that as rebuildable cores.

But yeah -- without pictures, guessing a value is an exercise in futility.

The engine number is correct for a first half 65 912 as is the vin 35xxxx. I will try to dig up some pictures and post them.
