1976 911S Targa CA car from new

1976 Porsche 911S Targa Black/Black VIN #9116210959 Engine # 6275773 Leather high back seats 6&7 inch Fuchs just back from AL REED POLISHING California car since new Original documented mile 138,000 This is a zero rust two owner California car. After factory warrantee expired Pete Zimmerman of Red Line Service handled maintenance on the car. After Pete sold the shop to Marc Bixen, Marc took over. I have copies of all Red Line invoices. A few highlights. 2.7L motor rebuilt at 81,000 miles Case savers added Polished crank Mahle pistons and cyn matched 930 valve covers Carrera tensioner kit Thermal reactors removed 28 tube/brass OEM fender mounted cooler New Bilstein Green Shocks at 86,000 all for corners -New Bushings front and rear with shocks New SS Muffler Clutch done with rebuild and still strong Body was repainted, SC steel flares added with windows out and all new rubber in 2002. Paint is in good shape. No dents or dings. Leather high back seats have no rips or tears. No cracks in dash. New door check straps were added after I bought the car in April 2013. All service is complete and up to date since. RED LINE Major service (136,000 miles) performed; oil and filter (20/50 VR1), valve adjustment, brake fluid flush and refill, new trans fluid and fuel filter. Car runs strong, idles great and pulls strong to red line. Transmission has a small nibble in up shift to 3rd but only if you rush it. Small pause in between gears and its smooth as a new 915 gear box can be. Four wheel alignment and Euro ride height done by West End Gardena CA at 136,000. Replaced (rebuilt Bosch) original Fuel Pump at 137,000 along with new cap, points, rotor, plug wires, fuel relay and oil temp switch. Targa top is in good shape. It does have a small patch two inch square back right side. Two handles for top. Tools, jack, pump and spare included. 24,500 ![]()

Yes. Prior owner loved the car. An attorney with a lot of money. He decided to update the car rather than buy an SC. They are factory, correctly installed but I get it.
It would be a shame if it was a 1972 911S!

That's one clean car. A 1976 is still a desirable mid-year. Not as much as a '74 or '75 but still a nice car at the end of the day. So many were beat and abused. It's refreshing to see someone took pride in ownership. A bargain for what I've seen mid-years go for.
