How much is this '67 likely to go for

I'm a sucker for Irish Green, and I know nothing about longhoods but this car looks badass as ****. How much is it likely to go for?

Beautiful.

Interesting. This '67 reminds me of a stout proper fellow wearing a derby, who is late for an important engagement.

When I hear the word "badass", I think of this ...

Each to their own, but that car reminds me of this --->

:D

Still a neat pedal car, though!

Maybe if it wawa 912. I bet it goes for at least 20% more then that.

pors1968 05-15-2016 06:31 AM

Should bring at least 85 -95 k.

brisboats 05-15-2016 06:34 AM

My mistake I agree looked at it a few days ago and thought it was a 912. Based on what the one with original paint on Bat... 65k . Was where I was coming from.

You must consider that this is Monterey. Lots of inebriated deep pockets with competing egos will converge here from all parts of the planet. Add at least an additional 10%-15% to whatever price it "should" bring. I am not kidding.

brisboats 05-15-2016 07:35 AM

Since I own an Irish green 911 . I hope it goes past 6 figures and it just may.

maninblack 05-15-2016 12:40 PM

OK. What am I missing?

It appears to be a very nice swb 911, well presented, and in a desirable color. What, other than Mecum's reputation perhaps, keeps this car from breaking 6 figures?

Some truth here. But Mecum won't bring out the real moneyed crowd. Mecum is for the Yahoos who think they have money.

brisboats 05-15-2016 01:51 PM

Definitely one to watch . I will hang my bet on 85-95k taking into account all factors mentioned and the additional consideration of a buyers premium. It's an auction anything can happen, but I don't see that one going for much less. All it takes is two that really want her.

Yea, But they are not as bad as the trust fund pricks that have never earned a dollar on their own.

I've heard that mecum can be a good place to buy a porsche because it's mostly corvettes and american muscle and the crowd might not be into Porsches so much, but I guess a car that nice won't get all that cheap regardless.

That's often true. One could save $10k or more off what he would pay elsewhere because there's not a serious second buyer going against you. But it's just luck whether that happens or not.

This

techweenie 05-16-2016 08:54 AM

What it should bring and what Mecum can get out of it are 2 different things. I'm calling hammer price at $65K.

So many Porsches going through Mecum have been weak or oddballs and I don't know if the Mecum crowd can discern quality -- assuming it is as good as the pictures indicate.
