Seems like a fair price for an original SC in an amazing color. Will sell soon, imo.

If I had more space, money and time I would buy it. Just my kind of car.

1. Asking isn't getting.
2. Looks like a very nice car.
3. Seller acknowledges he's at (or past) the top of the market when he says "it's a car for an end user, not a reseller." There's no more money to be had.

Cheers

d.

Car is worth every penny. Truly a beautiful car here. I feel the classic SC is the best NA 911.

Several SCs of various quality hit the screens in the last couple of days, it'll be a good test for the market.

It is getting outrageous, over here in japan i picked up my 85 carrera for 13k USD in 2013, fast forward to today 2015 midyears-carreras are going for 5 million yen which equals 40k USD. I had a chance to pick up a 930 for 30k from the same seller back in 2013 but hind site is 20/20.

1980 US required 85 MPH Speedometers. I believe this should have applied to Euro Delivery also?

that car looks pretty sweet to me. As someone pointed out elsewhere -- the market for impact bumpers has basically converged so whether it's a 3.2, SC, or middie is becoming a meaningless thing to consider -- just condition.
Assuming this thing checks out to be a collector quality as stated - price seems fine to me. I wish it was the old days so I could own 3 cars but that ship has sailed and I'd buy this SC with that as the asking price

Good news/bad news

With quality 3.2's going for mid $30's, as two have just this past week, this car is overpriced.

This is not to say it won't sell at the asking, as many of you have shown by expressed theoretical interest, but I doubt it. Low to mid's $30's is more like it.

But I have a dog watching this fight, so to speak, so I hope SC's keep rising.

Color was a tough sell in 2005

"Skippy" was the nickname back then....

That looks to be a VERY nice car!

It is difficult to find cars that are in that condition.

If "Skippy" is the same car it's lost 19,000 miles in 11 years.

In which case the 85mph speedo question becomes intriguing...

The interior is totally different in the cars, not the same car.
Location of vin sticker in door jamb is clearly at different heights. Not the same car.
