Dallas 993 PPI - RAC or Mayo or ??
Hoping my long search may be over but now need a thorough PPI by someone who really knows 993's. There's not much history available on the car so I need some real expertise. NW Dallas and/or Ft Worth or Arlington area. I read the many suggestion threads here and on RL and came up with the above. Anyone else I should consider?
Thanks in advance.

Clown Shoe Motorsports is located in NW Dallas. One of the two owners/techs is Phil Fromme and he has well over 20 years experience with German cars (also a Porsche master tech) - have known him for decades. I'm not sure what his workload is right now, or what the cost would be, but you might consider calling to check.
The website makes it seem that he and his partner are "BMW only", but that is not the case. Clown Shoe Motorsports |

Another excellent option is Lamborghini Dallas (that's North Central, though). Travis, the shop foreman/tech also has bookoo Porsche experience (used to work at RAC and elsewhere similar) and is very detail oriented. Same deal - don't know about cost or time-frame but definitely worth a call.

***post count***
I just heard back regarding Travis at Lambo (Cearley is his last name) - he would be happy to do it. If interested, call and ask for him. I didn't ask about cost since it is none of my business. I'm not trying to "sell" him - ha ha - but he is a major stud when it comes to this sort of stuff - couldn't go wrong taking it to him. |

If I lived with 200 miles of mayo, there is no doubt he would do all the service to all my cars. All the time.

Thanks to all for the advice. I went for another test drive and have some concerns about the Tiptronic unit. I'd like to make sure the shop has the right equipment to diagnose. There are lots of Mayo fans here but I get the impression they may be stronger on earlier cars. So it may be between Zims and RAC. Any further thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
