Shipping a roof clip from New Hampshire to Los Angeles or AZ , NV, Cal
Does anyone have an idea how to send a sunroof roof clip
its 4 foot across and 6 foot long , and maybe 18 inches "tall" when sitting on the ground , I think its too big and heavy for Greyhound, so is there any other way to get it here ? Probably a lot of Porsche trailers will be driving past there to go to the 2016 Porsche Parade next month , but I doubt many from the West Coast, if I can get it to Arizona or Nevada that would even help...... Thanks for your ideas

I had a hood shipped from Vermont to CA using Greyhound. Check their website. Only challenge is getting the buyer to meet the bus. It will need to be boxed.

Forward Air is your friend, most major airports domestic, have excess airfreight moved across
traditional roadways, each airport has a depot for FA . You will be required to wrap and palletize to the best of your ability , make cash customer payment and there you have it roof clips certainly can be unwieldy but not excessively heavy...Bert

You'll need to build a plywood box, put it in the box and ship the box. I did it with a gocart, the box / shipping cost me 1400$. Ouch.

I did it years ago; just the lumber for the crate cost $300 - likely more now. My labor was free.
Now, you have services like UShip, which are 99% brokers who will bid a job and then go look for someone they can ship with for 85% of what they quote. It's a very scammy business, as they will re-contact you with upcharges for timely shipping, pickup/dropoff without loading dock, etc.

U-Ship is a nightmare.
I sold a C Coupe to a guy a few years ago, he didn't want to use my broker, he saved $100 by using a guy on U-Ship. The guy showed up with a converted motor home, except he had double booked. His thing was full of furniture, which he unloaded, loaded up the Porsche, and the re-loaded the furniture, on top of the 356. Don't we all want a couch on top of our Porsche when it's being shipped? ---Adam ![]()
