Wow. What a waste.

There's a small fortune sitting in that garage. Hire an appraiser to know where more or less the value should be then i would try and contact someone who is a restorer with the right expertise. Research it as best as possible, keep an eye out for the snakes...lots of shady so called experts. Best if you can get someone to buy the whole lot and let them do the removal.

Thanks !

The family is now aware if how valuable the collection is and I was able to get some more info about the original owner.

"My friend is receiving hundreds of messages from around the world and is feeling a bit overwhelmed now"

And now you will too - receiving messages....

If they were my friends, I'd first tell them to not touch anything. Along with the cars, I'm sure there's a lot of parts scattered around. The parts are likely just as important for the future restorations. It would be terrible if they 'cleaned the area up' prior to an extensive evaluation with the good intentions of trying to make the cars more accessible. Plus, the parts might be staged by the previous owner in a logical order.

They need to bring in multiple qualified professionals/experts to evaluate.

Look forward to more pictures if possible.

Are there any photos? Surely in this day and age, it's quite easy to find an approximate value for things on the internet before putting it all out there for the dealers to circle.

Good thing he got the info he needed.

Word to the wise: Never, under any circumstances throw up a photograph of a barn find Speedster or what have you without doing your homework unless you want every a$$clown in the entire universe contacting you.

This is rather funny because if someone posts Barn Find Speedster you expect the link to contain pictures to anything but the real deal, more likely a joke picture of a claw foot bathtub or such.

I'm most certain the OP is still getting PM inquiries even without the picture.

Here are one of the photo's I posted.

I received a few PM's but once I received the info about the Speedster and the rest of the collection the messages stopped.

That is super cool. Looks like they have quite a stack of 356/vw generators there, was the speedster the only Porsche in the find?
