To the person that owns car that goes with #81 a lot, to everyone else hard to say. Turbo mania has cooled off some.

930 3.0 case

I think the market has cooled off overall as there are interesting parts & cars for sale and no buyers compared to a few months ago. There might be fewer 76 930 cars than I thought as well. The learning curve to keep them on the road was higher than the aptitude of most drivers.Fred

3.0 short stroke

well there may not be any value to this 3.0 case but the issue is from point A to B.The best Turbo motors I ever built were on the 3.0 case.70.4 x 98.You would use the 3.2 Carrera heater boxes that were 38 mm inside diameter and 8.5 C.R. AND 78-79 SC heads and make 390 H.P.This is at .9 bar.No fuss no problems. The best thing is a 3.3 or3.4 has more Lbs.of swinging weight.I think who gets there first wins. The best part is the motor looks stock. The Cfm issue is almost 35 percent over the stock exhaust.Dream on.Thanks Pelican People.Fred

Fred,

These are valuable cases for multiple applications as you well know. One of the unfortunate casualties of the increasing valuations has been the 911/930 hot rods. Hard to justify building one when stock cars are worth so much more.

Fred, while I have no clue what the value is for your case, I would surely like to have one for a future build.
If you would post it for sale at $10,000 I couldn't afford it but I couldn't say it's overpriced.
I too would like to know its' "real value" Hopefully some one has made a recent purchase and can chime in.
