Rare color interiors..

I enjoy seeing unique interior colors on older Porsches and it would be great to see what all is out there. I've seen some great custom ones, especially in tribute cars.. But what about the ones that do match the COA?

This is one I found, and although the red and the green aren't complementary colors, I find it quite extraordinary

My parents made me study fine art painting from a young age, post college I went to France to study painting so trust me, I've mixed a lot of paint. Red and green are ideal together when done with a practiced eye. Unfortunately, from an artists perspective this is a complete failure for a whole host of reasons. I'm not insulting the fact that you like it, you're on the right track as was the person who ordered this car, they just didn't understand color theory or how the human mind processes color.

I'm 100 percent certain that a skilled artist could create a dazzling red car with green interior. Furthermore, I think most are missing out when they restore their cars by not applying theory to the choices they make, even Singer falls flat on basically every car they rebuild. Just my opinion but I'm fairly certain any artist would agree.

Sincerely

Whoa!

Red and green are, in fact, complimentary colors, but that red and that green don't work together. I think the green is way too high-saturation to go with red. Either dial the saturation way down or make it a darker tint and perhaps a bit bluer. I do think that green would look great with a warm off-white.

Actually kind of an intriguing combo....funny much prices change in just over 6 years....sold at 40K Euro. Wonder what it would go for now. Kiln red is absolutely gorgeous though!

Matt - that one's not so intriguing! What would possess somebody to check the Speed Yellow with Nephrite Green interior box?? To each his own I suppose.....

Very unique. Maybe if the floor mats were different color, the interior would be more balanced out. Regardless, I definitely appreciate unusual.

It's just bizarre. Dr Bill Jackson special ordered a 996 that was Jade exterior with Nephrite. That car was actually pretty cool looking.

My 964 WTL was plain black with turquise full leather interior. Needless to say I regret selling her.

I bought my car in Phoenix, and understood it was originally a Texas car. I was told that this was a "Special Wishes" interior. It made sense in that climate (at that time). Leave it parked it in the desert sun, and climb right in, no problem. The weak A/C didn't have to work too hard, either. The white leather is actually some kind of pearlescent color. If I redid it now, I would go red with white piping.
