Help with 993 Vin..

Hi gents,

We have just purchased 1997 993 Carrera. However, I just got the title today and it states under the model number that it is a 4S. So I plugged the vin into the Rennlist vin# decoder and it says same thing, 4S. Hmmm..

Is there anyway by looking at the body of the car if it is indeed a 4S model? I can't imagine the seller making a mistake like that.. Or probably one of the sellers before him as this is a multiple owner car.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

BTW, the Vin# is: WP0AA2999VS321335

Does it have the Turbo's big red brakes?
Turbo's front bumper?
Wider than a narrow body car in the rear?

Ales, the C4S, C2S and Turbo all have flared rockers and wider rear quarters. They also have a more 'squared off' bumper cover.

Thank you Bill,

Comparing the photos now and the one we have is just a regular C2. Never knew about the rockers.. That's a big giveaway.
