Really? why don't you tell him what he has and how much it is worth. Do you really think if this guy is for real, that he is going to sell you his pre 75, Uber rare stacked momo wheel for $300? if he was that ignorant would you take it for that?

This whole thread smells like pee.

Hi
Thank You for your reply. Yes, I know that my wheel is worth more than $300. I was hoping to find here collectors that can help me find more details/value. I learned already on another forum. I am not afraid of lowballers, I got offers starting at $100 telling me is because of the conditions of the wheel. Yes, they would have no problem with a lowball .

whats with you two pissing on mine and his thread?

would you pay $500 for that horn button? if someone asking for that on ebay so thats the worth?

internet jockeys says a used rubber alone on 930 tailworth $1500 i just saw two real early pretty complete whaletails go here on pelican 2 weeks ago for something close to thats with rubbers included...and the seller wasnt a newb. so you tell me what an early rubber tail is worth.

over the last 30 years ive had a two dozen momo, ferrero, fusina, bwa, nardi, personal, morretti steering wheels, horn buttons and hubs. having said that, i for one would not know how to tell the owner what its worth. did he just buy it, did come on a car already, did he have it for 40 years or just a flipper?

only thing one can do is offer a suggestion.

^^^ Sorry I was off by $50.00. PDR Sport has a horn button for $450.00. It's not a ebay listing and I'm not pulling numbers out may A$$.

NOS MOMO Early Horn Button

I think its a dam cool wheel and would pay $500.00-$600.00. Someone else may pay more.
I don't know how valuable the package is, but I know its worth more than $300.00

here is a quick 2 minute search.... 911 M491 turbolook for sale 130K

http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/porsche/911/1867813.html

since you are the expert. i have one of these, so with your logic, mine along with everyone who has one is worth 130k? if you can sell it for me i will give 10k in commission so please do.

or i pay 500$ for that momo wheel set up and you pay $200 me for that horn button which should be a fire sale in your eyes?

i have 3 other classic sports cars that are much rarer than my M491. though im bennefitting from the recent price hikes, im kinda hoping it would all crash like in 1989 where all the speculators and flippers got hosed. i think we are long past due for a purge. it will be healthy for the enthusiast in the end.

my apologizes to yvr-lima for the inadvertent hijacking of your post

best of luck with your sale.

^^^^^ Hilarious coming from the only thread hijacker.
Not one of your posts has anything to do with the year or value of the Momo wheel. They are all, especially the last one, about you and what you want.

If you actually read his second post he states,

None of this is relevant to the OP, you are irrelevant. You make a public lowball offer, in a thread where the OP is asking for a market value and don't expect to be called out? ....Come on man.

The OP never said he was going sell it. He's asking for the age and value. No reason at all to throw a sleazy lowball offer out when it seems like you know what that wheel is worth. Don't be a kook.

At least he did it in public. There's probably many more sending him pm's with even lower offers...

Like I said, I came here to find more info and maybe an honest opinion about the value of my Momo.
I admit I didn't know much when I started this. And obviously, almost everybody here knows exactly what I have (and I'm talking about dollars).
But I got some help and I found the info I needed. And I learned fast.

I see lots of collectors here with lots of opinions and I respect them all.

But one thing I don't understand:
I was reading this " did he just buy it, did come on a car already, did he have it for 40 years or just a flipper? "
Is this really relevant when you try to find the value of this wheel?

Thank You all for your time.
All the best !

I found this looking around. It's a for sale post from 2011 claiming your wheel is from 1967-1969. $1,600.00 without horn button or hub adapter.

http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/alfa-romeo-parts-sale-wanted/181293-ultra-rare-early-380mm-momo-prototipo.html

If you use the percentage that Porsches have inflated since 2011 then your wheel is worth $10,000.00...

Being serious. That wheel sold for $1,600 in 2011 in a very down economy. I think you could get $4,000 or so today from the right buyer.
If they don't like the price tell them to find another one.

Thank You Derrick,
If you don't mind I will borrow you line "If they don't like the price tell them to find another one". Love it
Very soon you will get reaction to your crazy prices ) Get ready ! hehehe

On a serious note: Yes, the word is right buyer ! I have many emails with funny offers. You really have to find that serious buyer, a collector that can appreciate this.
Also, I know that mine is only 360mm and has no stitches on the back which affects the value.

Oh please guys. Stop looking up past for sale thread about anything. First, you dont know if it sold for 1600 as that was asking price. Second, the link is a 380mm unlike the 360mm offered here. That makes a difference in price. Third, same thing goes for the inscription on the back (production period). Although 300$ is ridiculous, there is absolutely no way this wheel will sell for anything near 4000$! And not every market goes up together with porsche value. I'd say even more: the market value one this type of steering wheels seems to have levelled during the past months/year. I assume the seller has a pretty good idea by now of the value but please don't push it...
