Heip w/price for my 1970 T coupe
Hi All,
Due to changing circumstances I need to sell at least one of my 911s. So I am asking your help in putting the right price on my coupe. 1970 911 T Coupe, no sunroof, Burgundy w/ black interior, totally stock, matching #'s Currently 87,497, believed to be correct. Older restoration, windows out repaint in orig. color sometime in the mid to late 80's as per PO. Unfortunately getting more history was problematic as PO barely spoke English. There was rust in one floor pan that was patched, it is solid but not the best quality work. There is light surface rust and a couple of small holes that will need repairing in the near future. Drivers door was repainted at some point and it is a slightly different shade than the rest of the car. Interior is in good shape, good dash, excellent headliner, seats are good but could use a restuffing. Everything works except the clock, has replacement radio. Car was last registered in 1991 before I purchased it and spent $7000 to get it back on the road in August of 2007. Work included new brake and fuel lines and hoses, rebuilt calipers, pedal bushings, new clutch cable, shift bushings, filters tune up etc. It is a very nice driver that turns heads wherever I go, that said it is not perfect and has a few chips and scratches on close inspection. It has been garaged for the entire time I have owned it and it was garaged by PO for the 16 years it was off the road. Things it will need; Tires, they have plenty of tread but are ancient, the front end could use a rebush and new shocks, (rears are Bilsteins w/ 1200 miles ). As is, it is a very good car that could give years of fun with a small maintenance outlay or it is the perfect starting point for a full restoration or vintage race car. I know I am forgetting things, so please ask for more information. I will do my best to answer, however right now my hours are crazy so it might take me a day or two to get back to you. Thanks in advance, I look forward to your comments. Pascal I have many photos that I will post but first I want to see if I can get this to post |

I'd say put tires and struts on it and sell it for $65k.
|
It won't make that money with the patched pan and other issues mentioned. $45k ish as is.
|
40s sounds about right.
Car looks great from the pics but you mention perforated rust (?). |
$45-55 for a nice driver...

I agree $45 tops.

I'm thinking this would be a $40k car tops. that whole side of the car needs some serious attention.
