1982 928 Weissach Edition value
A family member asked that I sell this car that has been sitting indoors for almost 10 years. This was part of the estate of my brother in law, a former military aviation maintainence officer. Trying to determine the value. We now know based on vin it's was one of 205 made. 86k miles but condition of motor has not been determined as it had been parked for what has described as minor overheating and quick shut down to prevent damage. Some disassembly of intake and fuel rails afterwards. Has original paint with some blistering around the edges of the rear spoiler and the the trailing edges of the sunroof here and there. Has the correct front spoiler and the correct Weissach goldish alloy wheels. Interior complete with some deterioration to be expected of a car this age. Thanks in advance..http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1476803322.jpg

Nice car. Some interior, under hood and hatch shots would be helpful..

I'll post some more. I don't have any hatch shots as I'm not at the shop today.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1476807027.jpg

That is a project. No premium for a "special" edition in that condition considering what made it special were some taylor made luggage. Do you have it?
I would say between 2 and 5K depending on condition of vital parts. Nice winter project for someone with too much time on his hands. GLWS |
No luggage. We think it's a $3k car as it sits. It's sure is a project for someone. Thanks for your feedback!

Man, that could be one sweet car. I bet it cost a ton new.
The engine shot of the timing belt off is what my nightmares are made of. It's worth getting back for sure. The right person is out there - but it's not gonna be cheap, especially if the motor is smoked and/or headgasket. But how many do you see for sale? Not many. For the right person this could be a dream project. |
A couple of grand; but could be a great car for a 928 enthusiast. I had several 928's (S, S4, GT), they are fantastic cars when maintained.

I appreciate the feedback and we will move forward with selling. Thanks all!

i didn't know that they made 928 in this flavor. Maybe they should call it the King Ranch edition.
That said I love it and hope you aren't anywhere near me |

I would have to sleep IN the car if I bought it. Thank God it's nowhere near me. |
will the SUV or sedan newer v8 motors bolt in an old 928 ?

Love the colors...

What did you do with this car? did you see the one on BaT?
|
No I haven't. It sold to a collector in Germany who already owns one. Thanks!
