I can stare at this car all day! That being said I don't understand why certain cars go off the charts
and other sit. This car is stunning but it's still a back date. The sale price on this seems to go against everything typical in the market over the last couple years.

Seems fair to all the money given build and current market.

It would cost me much more to build.

Wonder how much money including man hours was actually spent on that car. Wouldn't be surprised if it was over $200k.

If you watched the auction, it was a typical 2 guy fight.
Someone obviously has their HS reunion coming up and wanted to show up in this car.
The price is great. The market is back.
Woohoo

Appears well done from the photos. You've gotta punch all the right 911 buttons to get a bidding war going to bring top dollar.

Certainly not subtle.

No heat nor MFI would've been my negatives if I'd had the dosh for this car.

Value of back-date vs up-date?

Know the car and it is lovely, but I'm wondering about the relative value between RSR clones based on a back-dated '84 (or whatever), and forward dated long-hoods (like my 70T-based RSR). Does it matter if it's really a long-hood once it's been modded to match an RSR? 2.8ltr vs yet another 3.2 (or 3.6, 3.8)? Thoughts?
