Excellence lastest market update

Any comments on the latest Excellence 930 market update. Does not match what I have been seeing in current prices.

You can find a rough running 930 for $45,000 to $50,000.

Then spend $25,000 to get it running right.

Or you can buy good running driver for $70,000 to $80,000.

That or you can buy a 930 needing nothing condition 3 for $100,000.

I feel like they are always late on the current market trends, upward or downward.

That mag is pretty much like Hagerty when it comes to valuations - full of excrement!

The BaT auctions are good gauge for just how WEAK the market is at this moment! Well, they are weak AT THIS MOMENT. That means that could change by the time you read this. Or this, b/c I said at that moment, which was before, b/c now they are VERY STRONG, if you look at The BaT auctions, which are a very good gauge!

Hope they're good numbers although they seem high based on my research from a couple of months ago when I was buying a 964 turbo. Got lucky, found a 1992 turbo someone inherited and traded to a Buick dealer.

Can't hardly imagine the (idiot) person who would trade a 964 turbo to a Buick dealer.. you probably still got a screaming deal.

Excellence lastest market update

Just got my excellence in the mail.

Those 930 values look pretty spot on to me..

Thing is mostly none of the cars you see for sell fit the good or excellent category. Those cars sold years ago.

And a category 3 car is a car that needs no major mechanical work valued at $75,000 to $80,000

The gentlemen's question about asking prices has entirely to do with what cars he is looking at and the condition of them.

Again $75,000 should buy a plug and play 930 (80-88) needing nothing but gas and insurance.

Interesting too that 1989 cars have settled a bit.

I saw this early on as the G50 never added any historical pedigree to the 930 and it was also never homologated by Porsche due to it coming about long after the 930 was past it's racing competitiveness. It's purely a driving preference.

This is a quiet time for sales. Wait until early spring when people get the itch, that is when the money starts to flow.

The dealer told me the guy traded the1992 turbo on a "$70k GMC sport utility plus cash" .
I was surprised the dealer wasn't asking more than they did as they pretty much knew what they had. Fortunately we could write a check and get it out of there before they changed their mind or got a higher offer. It is an all original one family owned 32k mile car.
