BAT - learned something today

Saw this

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/936612-1998-porsche-911-c4s-sale-last-wide-body-air-cooled-cars.html

with this

"Willing to end auction early if right offer is made"

Wasn't aware that BAT allowed you to do that.
I thought they wanted an exclusive and it had to run to the end.

Learned something new today...

What if there is a high bid, and you refuse to deliver?
Can BAT force you to sell your car? I doubt it.
To that end, I assume anyone can abort an auction early

That sounds like selling with a reserve.
This sounds like taking your toys away because you changed your mind.

One I know you can do, the other I wasn't aware of.

good way as a seller to get buyers to cut directly to the highest price they are willing to pay for the car avoiding the last minute rush that the BAP sales method promotes. I kinda like that as on option for selling a car there. sand through the hourglass sales are great for drama incurred by both seller & buyer, so cut through the BS and when a number comes up you can live with end the auction & sell the winner the car. the last minute fervor bidding could last all 5 or 6 days... I like it and would watch a car with that declared more closely fir sure.

I would call BS on this one.

BaT themselves should call BS on this one.

The thing that distinguishes BaT from eBay is that BaT isn't eBay.

I say the BaT people tell this clown to go somewhere, as it's going to ruin their business model.

He's edited his ad on here.
It doesn't read the same any more. Now it's all PM me...

Guess BAT doesn't allow that after all.

After all that it didn't sell.
Hit 69 and change on BAT. Just a little less than his ask here:
