Are you buying for an investment or to drive? Do you like it as is? Seems like very low miles, are they verifiable? Seems like a reasonable deal for a turbo, not that I'm any kind of expert in the turbo market.

These 2 polls were fun, and had opposite results.

I have owned a M505 car and I absolutely loved it. Sold it waaaaay to cheap back in the day...

That is a decent price, but I would want a lot more details. Also, although I like guards red 911 turbos (930), I prefer the slantnose (930S) in dark colors, especially black.

Absolutely awesomeness incarnate right there, Phat (just needs dark window tint and plenty of power mods - if it doesn't already have those)!

Was that your former ride?

I saw that 86 for sale previously but don't remember where. I like it, and I don't usually like GR. I' fond of the seats and interior. and of course the slope.

I like the seats as well, though I prefer black leather, butt too bad they are the "comfort" variety (the sport seats look so much better to me). And jeebus, I can never get over just how hideous the OEM steering wheels of that era are - looks like was borrowed from a delivery truck or station wagon.

Are the seat inserts euro? If it's a euro car it's less valuable (emissions, documentation, etc) no?

The pinstripe velour seats were optional on US 911 and 944. My friend's father had them in his 77 911 and I have a dealer brochure for the 944 showing it as an option. I've seen 928s and 924s with them too.

I think they are rare because most US dealers were likely ordering leather. And I'd bet that the most of the cars originally equipped with them have been reupholstered with different material over the years.

A slope-nose sled is a very '80s piece. Although they are OK at $78K I would pass.

Do you have sport seats in your car? What year is it again?

Mine is a 1987, and yep, I have black leather sport seats. I love the look and fit of them, but one thing's for sure and that is they are not made for peeps who are supersized in the gut, back, and buttocks regions - not comfortable at all for friends of mine that like to eat their Texass BBQ.

The engine appears to be completely stock Turbo - even down to the ridiculous, mailbox air cleaner housing and the Nippondenso a/c compressor used in the later 1980s.

One of the key indicators is the single motor light actuator:
