1965? Wood Wheel Value

I went to look at some 912 parts today a guy had listed on Craigslist, he had listed mostly engine parts and some trim and he thought he might have a Lemmerz wheel(dated 3/68l I'm looking for. So I get down there and he starts digging through all his stuff and most of it was not going to work for my car as it wasn't correct for a 68. I was just about to leave and he said he had a wood wheel he might sell. I really didn't need a wood wheel but I thought I would take a look at it anyway as they look great. Here is what I bought, after researching I'm pretty sure its a 1965 wheel. It is very, very light. It is in pretty good shape but it has a few chips and small splits. As its not correct for a 68 I'm probably just going to sell it. Any guesstimates as to value in its current condition. Thanks in advance for replies.

Yeah, that's an aluminum frame wood wheel.
Unsure as to price as the aluminum ones are very rare but I'd say around $1500? Nice score!

Wood wheel prices have reAlly softened lately. In this condition is agree with the $1.5k range. A couple years ago I sold a nicely restored one with a hockey puck for $3.8k.

Send Bruce Crawford a picture and he can give you an idea of restoration cost:

Rough quote of $675, doesn't sound to bad, that included the butterfly.

It will be better than new after Bruce gets done with it.
