1974 US Carrera engine and 914/6

I have two engines I want to sell. Can anybody tell what a fair price range for both would be? The carrera engine does not look good but turns over by hand. The 914/6 looks good, has the correct webers and turns over by hand.
Here are the numbers: 914/6 901/38 640559, 2,7 Carrera US 911/43 6450545

Many thanks Malte

You may want to post pics and more details to get an accurate assessment.

Thanks Matt, I canīt say a lot more because I bought the engines years ago on a pallet. But I will shoot some pictures tomorrow.
The 46s Webers shafts are good with no play...

The 914/6 engine serial should have 7 digits, in case anyone is looking for it.

Thank you Cornerlot. I might have missed one. I will have a look when I take the pictures tomorrow. Do you have an idea of the value?

I could be wrong but were the Carrera serial numbers a separate group from the "s" and others in '74 or they were all one big group?

Might want to check those webers again. If you're referring to the carbs that would have come on the 914/6 they would have been 40's. Im not certain but I think they would have been 40IDT's since the 914/6 engine was a 1969 911T motor.

If the owner of the car that engine was born in comes along, 6k - 10k depending on condition. Otherwise, to anyone buying a 2.0L core maybe 3k - 5k. I'm looking for the original mill to my 914/6; that's not it. 😒

Thanks for all the answers. In gerneral, as far as I know, the 2.7 carrera and s engines are the same. It all about the number when someone has a Carrera and wants the correct numberd (not matching) engine in it. But I think this is more a thing in the US than here in germany because those cars have never been solt here. They had the 210hp MFI engine. So for me it might be better to offer the 2.7 here at pelican, and the 914/6 locally in germany. I saw that one with wrong carbs (zenith) just sold for round about 7500 here.

Gearby, you are right. I have the 40IDT carbs taht are mounted on the 914/6 engine. And I have a set of 46Webers I want to sell, too.

And Cornerlot, you have been right with the 7 didgits. I missed one. It is 6405593. Attached are some pictures. I donīt have access to the carrera engine before th eend of this week. sorry!

FWIW; That 914/6 piece is a U.S. spec engine, not anything that would have been sold in Europe (ROW). More value in the U.S.
