VERY nice condition 40-50k, I'd guess....but without photos, anyone could throw a number at it....good color combination is about all we know.

low end, if it's a driver, has some warts, it's still a 30k car, unless its got bad paint, interior and broken head studs on the motor...or RUST, previous body damage, color change, etc.

chances are, someone here will make you an offer....take it and run.

Thanks for your reply, I only have limited info on the car at this point and a couple of low res pics. I take it demand is still very good for something like this?

Petrol blue is a desirable color, not so sure about it with tan interior, typically that color is paired with black or plaid.

In all fairness its really hard to put a number on the car. Does the speedo say 60K miles? If so when was it swapped for the original which would have read in KM's? Any kind of history on the car at all? When was it imported? Any service records? What kind of condition is it in. "Very Nice Condition" means a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

$25k to $50k ... I hate to make markets 100% wide but its not realistic to put anything tighter than that on the car with the given information.

$25-50 or even $60K is correct. "Very nice" with 60k miles could be a time capsule, or not. The information you provided is less than we would see in an ad, so it's impossible to narrow it down.

Go see the car. If it's really 60k miles, get ready to get serious.

[QUOTE=jfawsitt;9436490]I'm trying to establish the value and market for a ROW 1979 911 SC Coupe, 60k miles, Petrol Blue, Beige Cloth & Leather Interior, Sunroof, No Rear Tail, very nice condition.

Thanks,

Right up my alley. I sold my 80 Petrol Blue coupe in November right before Thanksgiving. Not a Euro car but I did a complete rebuild with Euro P&C. Mine had 68K on the clock (legitimite) mileage. Motor had 900 miles on it when I sold it. Also had 1 year old glass out Glasurit respray in original Petrol blue. Not mint but extremely nice car. I posted my ebay add here for scrutiny so you should be able to pull it up. Lots of opinions on value and info for you to check out .

I had offers up to 43K but the buyers flaked and I ended up selling to a gentleman in Illinois who owned a Petrol blue coupe in 79 for $40 grand even. Had way more in the car than that but oh well. The market is what it is.

It really comes down to what someones willing to pay for a car at the time the seller is trying to sell it. Heres a few shots of the car.....

Thanks for all the responses. Unfortunately I didn't manage to secure the car.
