Best Scottsdale Arizona Auctions for Porsches + others?
I'll be attending the auctions in Scottsdale Arizona this year this month. Just there to view and look, but out of all the auctions going on, which would you recommend checking out with more Porsche cars and alike? I'm not that into American muscle, but I know I won't be able to avoid it.
Thanks! |

Hi, I go every year, and the best part of the whole event is the Scottsdale Pavilions car show. It is on Saturday. It starts early in the morning and goes all day. Some of the best cars in the valley show up there, all types. And it's the only place that won't cost you 50 bucks to get in! You don't want to miss it!
Just google it and take look. |

I live here in Scottsdale. You would have to see each Auction company's listings to gauge how many Porsches as it varies. For the high end, it would be R M, Goodings, and Bonhams....Here is a link:
The Best Car Auctions in Phoenix and Scottsdale in January 2016 | Phoenix New Times fordfan is correct regarding the free Pavilions show, however it is mostly American Muscle and hot rods...however during Barrett Jackson week it will be stuffed with everyone trying to sell any type of car without paying an Auction commission. If you are in town the first Saturday of each month, then the Ferrari club holds a cars and coffee at Doubletree and Scottsdale rd that is chock full of exotics - mostly European...be Early...very early, as in 6-7 AM. |

make sure to stop by 4till4 coffee in old town scottsdale. Nation's only air cooled Porsche themed coffee shop. Many, many P cars on that corner!

Last year I went to Bonhams and RM Sothebys preview days. Both were worthwhile from a Porsche perspective, but RM's was bigger and free.
Cheers d.

Lots of good recommendations here. Bonhams, R&M and Gooding. I usually give Russo and Steele a miss but go to B-J for the event. Once in awhile there is a Porsche or two at Silver Auction at Fort McDowell casino. The Pavillions on Saturday is my favorite event of the week. It runs all year round but B-J week is the big one. I almost bought a '58 there last year and sold my '70. I found my current '58 via a contact I made there a number of years ago (a friend now). Last year there were a number of Porsche's for sale there.
