$75K bid for a 77 turbo? $100K for a 89 convert? Time warp prices. Buyer on the 86 for $165K only one looking @ Hagerty.

The 89 convertible has an interesting interior color scheme that may not appeal to many(I dig it though). That front spoiler and the stone guard seem out of place. Nice car though. 2 more early turbos will go through the block tomorrow ...market may have cooled a bit. I've seen several early turbos sitting on dealer sites for several months now...the market can be strange.

Do you need an account to see the results? The webpage says the bid goes on for S190. Who auctions a Turbo with half a shark fin?

The silver 77 930 original paint did not meet reserve at $100k. The Copper color 77 930 wasn't at the auction (an individual i know was there). From what I was told the owner was looking for $150k for the silver one (but at $120k they removed the reserve...when they thought they had a $120k bid). Maybe the market has cooled on some of the early Turbos. 930 prices imo have cooled a bit, only the real special ones seem to being doing well.

Interesting that those .1 gt3s are going for those prices, and they look reasonably clean without scrotch harnesses and other nosebleed mods.

Can't figure out whether you're being sarcastic - I'd imagine the sellers should be quite pleased with these results, no (IMHO, of course)?

I believe those are the high bids on lots that didn't sell.

No sarcasm, I would like to know what they were thinking in not selling. I felt given today's marketplace both these cars were fairly bid to what I believe is market.......

Here are six 993 C4S auction data points of which two sold. $100,000 based upon these results was higher than market.

2016 Mecum
F184 1996C4S $70,000.00
T105.1 1997C4S $81,000.00 sold
F81 1997 C4S $80,000.00
S168 1997 C4S $125,000.00

BAT
1998 C4S $69,993.00
1998 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S 6-Speed | Bring a Trailer

T91.1 1996 993 C4S $83,000.00 sold

IMO, Pure craziness.... bid to $180,000 and not sold.
2017 Mecum Lot F193 1997 C4S 1087 miles.
https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0117-269513/1997-porsche-911-carrera-4s/

GT3RS Analysis
2016 Mecum
S88 2007 GT3RS $225,000.00 sold 565 White
S144 2007 GT3RS $160,000.00 sold 17,444 Orange
S142 2008 GT3RS $280,000.00 sold 16,965 Viper Grn
F124 2011 GT3RS $165,000.00 sold 9,323

Here is the exact same 2007 GT3RS Orange w/ PCCB for $179,991 available now in Houston on EBay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-Porsche-911-/172489357200?forcerrptr=true&hash=item28292ab790:g :zL4AAOSw241YfTZa&item=172489357200

2008 GT3RS W/ PCCB also $179,995 on EBay outside of Philadelphia
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-Porsche-911-GT3-RS-/122299987605?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1c79a5b695:g :5tsAAOSw9GhYeFQS&item=122299987605

2008 GT3RS Black 14,000 miles a bargain at $165,000 on EBay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-Porsche-911-GT3-RS-Coupe-2-Door-/232201303254?forcerrptr=true&hash=item361046b4d6:g :vLsAAOSw-itXqjUY&item=232201303254

Again, IMO, based upon these results the $200k (11,000 miles) and $230k (6,000 miles) offers were on market.

Here are upcoming AZ auctions of GT3RS and GT2RS
Lot 125 2011 GT3RS Estimate $225-$275,000 11,000 miles

There are enough 993 C4S's on the market for over 100 grand you can almost pick whatever color you want. They're all sitting there at high prices wasting away. The same can be said about 930's. There are so many driver quality 930's with miles up and down the range sitting at $100k plus you can take your pick.

You hit the nail on the head. I've noticed dealers that have never carried Porsche's or at least never carried older Porsche's are jumping on the bandwagon...only to get stuck with inventory they paid too high of a price. This may be a reflection of the current market. The new administration may have a role in why some people are holding on to their cash. Uncertainty perhaps?

I would like to add that many years ago muscle cars were all the rage, fast forward and many of those cars have lost their luster(value).

I suspect that special Porsche's i.e. verified lower miles(with full service history), not restored excellent original condition, lower production, fully restored to correct specs using correct materials and among other unique traits will cost a premium...but only time will tell.

To be fair, that's been the story for at least the past 12-18 months. At some point though something will have to give and they'll need to unload that expensive inventory. Seems non-optimal from a financial perspective to be sitting on a $110k C4S for 15 months and counting.
