1973 911T Targa Silver low miles
Winter is coming up soon here in the Upper Midwest. Thinking about passing my 911 on to its next owner, looking for another project to work on this winter.
Anyhow, 46,000 original miles. Nice shape very solid. Interior is in excellent shape, black vinyl. Mahle gasburner wheels, great shape. Value? Who knows. any guesses? Anyone interested? ![]()

It sounds like a great car, love the Mahle gasburners. CIS injection?
Silver metallic may not draw as well as a 'period' 70's factory color like in this Ebay auction, but at least take some comfort from this hammer price a couple months ago w/ similar mileage- This price looks dear but another comparo in exc condition: http://www.heritageclassics.com/porsche/73bei911t/Page.html

Quick transaction between $25,000 and $33,000.
Properly marketed through a high end dealer/ consigner type $35,000 to $40,000. Low miles/ originality and documentation will make this car very desirable as long as there are no stories. Great looking car!

Its got MFI. New Bosch Fuel pump. I would sell it for 27k in the state is it in. I would like to get another long hood project, that is not in such good shape, to make int a cafe racer this winter.

Ok, its been a few years, and I still have the car, and its really time to sell. I'll be putting it up eBay soon. It currently has 49,500 miles, and runs pretty well.
What should I list this vehicle for? Id like to sell it is Feb or March after I clean it up a bit.

![]() Tail light covers are off because the reverse lights are stuck on.... trying to figure that out.

Wow! You should pat yourself on the back for not selling at $30k in 08. The MFI alone is probably worth a good chunk of that money I think?

Thanks Rick! the mfi works like it should, untouched. This will make the next owner extremely happy.

The latest issue of EXCELLENCE has the updated market value for longhoods. For the 73T, the range is 30K for fair, 65K for good and 95K for excellent (this not a concourse price). Given this, and the low mileage, Targa, and excellent shape, your on the 65K side and that's where I would start. You have a great true collectible here.
The right buyer will come along unless you just want to dump it on the market! Bob 73.5T |

This was my dream car and the very first 911 I ever drove - a '73 T Targa in silver. I was 16. I will never, ever forget it.
Now it's 2017 and I have the same equivalent from '75 - a silver Targa, and it feels pretty much the same. Wow - times sure have changed. The one I drove in '89 had an engine rebuild and he wanted $5K. I still think of that car... |

Thanks for the insights guys, I really appreciate it. I think my plan will be to get her cleaned up and get it on the road when it warms up, get some beautiful photos and share them with you on this forum. Then put her up for auction and see what happens. Unless someone want to give me 65k, that I would not refuse.
