Be careful where you leave your Porsche

Not all shops are created equal, as this poor guy found out when his GT3 got balled up.

You would not believe the access low level guys have. Much less the boss. It's amazing accidents are so few.

Sad story. Was a real respected shop. Don't know what this will do to Aaron and BHR.

I was dumb to trust a fly by nite garage for my 951, they put it on a lift and did a crunch on my front quarter panels. They did not own up to it, so no more bizness from me. Crooked! I had a punk spit tobacco on my hood the other day at a Albertsons parking lot, I parked and noticed a bearded Justin Bieber looking clown heading in, his shiny car was parked near mine, I payed no notice. came our later, and bingo, spittle on my hood, lucky for me that was the extent of the damage. a quick trip to the car wash, and his filth washed away. He is a total pos!

Even just parking can be hazardous.

...not only that this shop was out for several HOURS doing a Ferris Bueller...beating the transmission at stop lights all over the city. Does this garage have any shame?

I worked at a Ferrari dealership in Arizona in the 1990s. The head mechanic took out a customers F40 and lost control, hit a curb, and into the field. Completely cleaned out the front end. It happens.

People do not use proper judgement on cold tires and most mechanics have no idea the kind of power on tap when you hit it. At least no one died. That would have been worse.

Most Insurance Co's deny claims when losses occur in the possession of a repair facility. It's the shop's insurance that covers it.

You are correct. First GT2 I drove (no traction control) with 10 year old ex tracked glass balls tires was a handful in a straight line with gentle throttle.

GT2RS a few years later was also a dry mouth car.

My advice for first time super car use is always the same. Be pointed straight and preferably uphill when checking out boost issues etc...
