What a great set of pics. Great reference material. Car has a neat aura about it. Nice, but not too nice. And it even comes with all the parts to put it back to original!

I think I would have to put white "Carrera" stickers on the rockers - could always take them back off.

The owner is ill and is working with someone to sell car- ebay is so far the chosen venue, we'll see how it plays out.

This car is amazing. This car is the way they should be.

Why?

1) It is a REAL RS and is very, very understated. Backdaters and replica people take note. It looks like a regular long-hood with flares and a duck. Nothing is overdone. Nothing else is added, no other lights, no stickers, no nonsense - just what a RS should be.

2) It's so pure it's not pretending to be anything. I can't even see a RS decal on the duck. Once again, backdaters and RS recreation people take note.

3) WOW - It has a sunroof. For all you coupe lovers and sunroof haters - this looks just fine to me on a real RS.

4) The color is awesome. The simplicity of a a real RS astounds. It's so undercover it's simply the finest 911 from that era.

Good luck with the sale. For the first time in a long time I found a car I wish I saved everything for.

If this truly is as it appears with no stories or surprises, it seems like a very very good price... although with 4 days left, let's see where the auction ends!

I dont know

This one has great modifications that I would want.....maybe not on the 73 RS I am adding to my multi million dollar collection :-)

If I was spending > half a mill on an original 73 RS I would go ahead and get a museum piece that was 100% OEM and < 10K miles....

Of course if I had that money I would buy this one to drive and the other to look at, I bet that 2.9 is glorious!

If it's any consolation, you would definitely have to be spending way more than $500k to be in the market for sub-50K miles museum piece RS... ;-)

Love the car... why is it that they're allowed to post it on Pelican without a price? Does anyone else get to do that?
