Another BHCC VIN-swapped car

Beware: Frankenporsche..

No 69 ever had the indentation in the passenger door striker panel, raised rectangle on the engine lid slam panel or a power brake booster.

But this one goes even further with "freehand" bodywork.

LOL "Excellent candidate for restoration"! Yeah you only have to strip down to a bare chassis and throw everything else away.

zedsn 03-14-2017 02:15 PM

Probably a typo. May have meant a different year like a 1979?

WPOZZZ 03-14-2017 02:16 PM

I'm guessing Japan market SC. Isn't all that red on a motor usually from Motor Meister?

100% VIN swap. Otherwise they lose CA market, which is a value killer for them

Are those casters at the front suspension mounts? Where have I seen that idea before?

For some reason, I'm on their mailing list, even though they hate me for the Yelp review I gave 'em. They don't give a ***** about the cars they pump through there. It's all volume and velocity.

Looks like the prototype 996 from that rear end...

How many 69's came with AC?

brisboats 03-14-2017 05:43 PM

The ones that did didn't have that version. There was a unit mounted below the main dash. It wasn't integral, even from the factory.

... the organic design is looking better and better to me and might I say, is an improvement over the factory slantslope slopenose slant.

I was referring to the cut out on the front suspension pan behind the bumper for the front condenser blower motor.
