Value of a 1970 T that is not stock

I have a numbers matching 1970 T body and engine with a 915 transmission. I also swapped in Weber carbs with rain shield air cleaners. The seats were replaced with recraros, the carpet is a German square weave and I had a full repaint from silver to slate grey. I also sourced polished Fuchs 6" fronts and 7" rears with nitto NT450's. It is a great running car but I do not drive it enough. I think it is time to let it go to someone that would continue to enjoy this early air cooled beauty. What is a realistic value for this car?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1489981304.jpg

$35,000 to $40,000

Based on limited info,. I think it could go over $40K if the chassis is straight and unrusted.

It's gone crazy! Wasn't too long ago that I'd never consider buying a mag case non-counterweighted crank engine!

Easily $60-70K if it is numbers matching 1970 T body and engine with a 915 transmission.

The small stuff can be remedied.

The car looks fantastic. I would buy yours all day and ten others at $35-40K...

Well, TW is the man when it comes to these kind of cars, but $40K shocked me as way low. My guess, before scrolling down, was $60K. LOM seems to agree, but TW knows this market better than anybody, especially in California.

If 40 I'll bring the 100's over today and drive it home. Not kidding. Assuming it's not a rusty pile and it sure looks like it's not!

Difference is asking vs actual sales. You guys are pricing off of the "fingers crossed" listings.

In actuality very good E drivers are trading at high $60's to mid $70's, with similar T's in the $45-55k range. That's where they sell. I understand owners may not like it or believe it, but that's just the reality today. Outliers obviously exist, so spare me the 1 in 100 comps postings

Really cool car and basically numbers matching (engine most important). I'd say high $40's all day, possibly slipping into the $50's if a local guy has to have it.

Do the stripes come off? While I personally like them, it's ultimately going to hurt value. Pull them off if you can.

I appreciate all the feedback and I want to determine what if anything to do prior to putting it up for sale. I do not see lany issue with the transmission being non stock, it is in great shape no grinding and it shifts smooth in all gears. The Webers and seats also don't seam to bother anyone as to the value. I have the originals. There is no rust on the car, I cut out and replaced with metal replacement panels from Restoration design. I had the stripes painted on the bonnet and engine lid so that they could be resparyed if someone did not like the stripe. As it sits today it is going to need some bits to complete the interior and it has a few nagging oil leaks that would require an engine drop and o rings. You have helped establish a value for me to complete this car to sell to someone that is looking for a great driving early 911. I have attached a few more pics to show before paint, solid floors and interior after carpet and one of moving battery to the smugglers box.

Right on to all of this.
