Heads-up on a good P-car deal.....

Great deal on a Targa SC in SC....

Grab it while it's hot.....

https://greenville.craigslist.org/cto/6059886946.html

"Air Cooled Porsche Targa just in time for the warm weather! This 911is a GREAT driver.

All the recommended upgrades: head studs, valve guides, 964 cam, timing chain, and engine mounts, etc. I've got a 3" thick binder of receipts going back many years. Targa top was professionally refinished a couple years ago. Fuchs alloys in the front, Corbeau seats. Newish clutch, solid tires, just did rear brakes and fluid flush, it's ready to enjoy! "

Matt, do you know the seller? If so, do you think it's accurately advertised?

Seems legit; looks like a SC issued tag.

No affiliation.

Jeez, I remember when average ones sold for ten K less. It was only a matter of time given long term ownership costs, but still...

Yes, in 2012 I was looking at one for $9200 and the guy had it on eBay three times and it sold the third time. High mileage but still.

This may be a steal, but after you paint the bumpers and do everything else, it's at least a $25K car. There are others in this price range.

I bought an 84 3.2 targa Carrera for under $5k in 2008....one of my favorite cars.
Ran like a top. Had the original paint w/ matching painted Fuchs...only issues were 1 mismatched color seat, keyed paint and a puff of smoke on startup....

Those days are long gone...

Looking at the ad again it looks like he did a lot of work to that car...so it's definitely a deal in today's market...

And those are the ones we used to part out! I'm going to Porsche hell for my part in killing way too many SCs and Carrera rough drivers because we could sell an engine swap for what we paid for the car.
