How did this car sell so quickly with no real description?

The ad mentions no real description of the condition of the car.
Paint is a 20 footer. Passenger door keyed, driver door needs to be lifted to close, engine lid crooked, bondo popping on quarter panel. Sand marks/brush marks showing on the back hatch, bumper.

Rough 72 k! Cracked dash, cracked seats, missing door pocket, steering wheel shows more than 72k? Needs tires, No records.

How did this car sell so quickly with no real description? I saw this car 2 weeks ago in Colorado prior to being purchased and past on it.
Car presents well from the pics.

That explains the license plate.

I saw this car on craigslist for sale and think it was advertised at 24k. The seller here literally used the exact photos from the previous craigslist listing for their for sale post here. Seemed to be rough for the stated miles but was interested due to year, color, and lack of sunroof. Clearly the seller didn't like what he got and wanted it gone as quickly as possible...

Yeah I agree color and no sunroof. He bought It with no inspections or viewing. I was the only one to see it through a mutual friend. They sold it to him for 20k. The car needs Alot of work with what I would guess is inaccurate miles. I only started it and did not drive it; the cosmetics alone kept me from wanting it. Back half of the car has poor paint work, it would pass as a homeowner job. Sorry to hear someone again got Passed on the s**t.

FYI the original seller was honest and upfront. Owned since 1987, but it had been passed down to his daughter. Obviously unloved which is sad as they definitely had the means to keep it in pristine shape.

I am sure someone else jumped on it with unrealistic expectations or to try and flip it yet again...

What kind of work did it need? Just curious. Paint? Engine rebuild?

10 k of body and paint work. I did not drive the car. It started right up, but after visually inspecting it I had no interest at in it.
Engine compartment had a new blanket. Supposedly 3-4 years ago a new transmission. 915 transmission probably worn after high school daughter drove it.

The obvious details were Interior dash, headliner, seats, tires, I.e.

A great example of why it is difficult to drive long distance. I have been spoiled over the years to 911's in Denver. Certainly was worth paying. Premium

Some one stated above Carfax was good? How does Carfax pick up on mileage if the car had a collector plate. Colorado only requires one initial emission test to qualify for the collector plate. There are no other inspections or emissions.

Carfax doesn't work on any older cars. And that collector plate on that car is expired. Laws in CO changed a few years ago. Sc is too new for collector plates. If the original CO owner wanted to put that car back on the road he would need to smog it.
