1991 C2 Cabriolet value?

A friend of mine has a 91 C2 Cab and has asked me to post an ad. Right now I'm looking for opinions on value.
5 speed, 50,000 original miles, Slate Grey. Great condition, no leaks, no accidents.
Ideas?

Between $35 and 40K, I'd say. Good color, low miles. Build date will have an influence on value, as they changed the head configuration in about Jan '91.

Early or late build 91? Late build low to mid 40's early build on original engine $36-37K

This ^. If it's the no head gasket engine (89-91) but has a documented rebuild you probably could get closer to $40k. GLWS

How can I tell if it's an early or late build date? And jeepers, $36K sounds awfully cheap for any air cooled with 50k miles.

Vin number and unfortunately cabs and targas aren't commanding as much as coupes and are prevalent. There are a number for sale at any given time. If you need to drop money into a top end you won''t think $36k was so cheap.
