Had to cut and paste it here before this treasure disappeared for good.
1978 Porsche PROJECT CAR - $500
Selling my 1978 Porsche 924. Ask for pics, thing wouldn't let me upload any. Started out all good, until my boyfriend drove it... trying to show off to some of his friends he nearly redlines the damn thing! And, low and behold, he blows the pan gasket!! So, my father and I (thank the heavens for him, because my glorious bf did NOTHING to help), change the rear main seal, the pan gasket, the timing belt.... I think we put a new intake gasket on her too... She also has an aftermarket radio, and with a decent subwoofer and amp she can really get down, let me tell ya! Now. As for things we haven't fixed and will not ever get around to fixing, the list goes as such: she needs tie rods, inner and outer, trust me, if you ever get it back in order, DON'T DRIVE THAT ***** WITHOUT THEM, you can't go over 30 without some serious death wobble... Anyway, she needs new weather stripping, I'd just go all the way around with that, mainly the sunroof. She could really use a new coldstart valve. We have rigged up to a switch, still PRETTY DAMN HARD TO START. But when she does, its a really good time! Ok, now cosmetically speaking, she's one ugly *****. But, its not so bad. If you're all about the looks, she'll need some new carpet, seats (they could be better, but you CAN SIT IN THEM, they are there and they have cushioning), paint, bit of body work on the fender is needed, bit of rust here and there I think. As far as floorpans go.... last time we looked... not too sure... maybe a year ago, they looked great! But like I said, that was a year ago and the sunroof could use new stripping.
Alright, alright, I'm gonna try to wrap this up, but there's just so much to talk about! That's basically all.... I FORGOT TO PUT THIS DOWN EARLIER! THE ENGINE IS NOT, I REPEAT, IS NOT MOUNTED AND ALL THAT. It's sitting in the bay right now but that's it. Just sitting, chilling, waiting on one you amazing car guys to come take her home and put her back together. The only thing I think a that's off the engine now are a few brackets... and everything else is in the car. I learned how to drive stick in this car, but no worries. I treated her well and she's super easy to take off in! Didn't really need to give her gas while letting out on the clutch. Plus I didn't drive like a man until I got my 1982 Foxbody Mustang, blew up one trans already, but that's a story for another time.... whenever I decide to sell her too, that is.. Unless someone can spot me some GT40 heads that is! ASKING 500. PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE, MIGHT TRADE, BUT COULD REALLY USE THE CASH. MOVING TO NORTH CAROLINA IS NOT CHEAP.
Well, there you go...
