Thinking about a cabriolet What say you, Pelicanites? I see nothing in maintenance in regard to a timing belt, unless it falls under "etc". A bit rough around the edges, but no major body damage unlike my 924S |
Under $3k. That car is beat pretty bad. For the right price, it would be a great project.
Here is an 'average' condition S2 Cab sell recently on BaT no-reserve auction for $5,300. The owner was disappointed for sure. Maybe it was a fluke? http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-porsche-944-s2-cabriolet/ Really good ones sell in the mid-teens. |
Be sure about the timing belt. Timing belt failure on a 16V 944 often destroys the cylinder head. The head is very hard to find used, and usually VERY expensive..

No major body damage? You have no idea what is under that hideous home repaired fender.

Such as?

Wrecked, with a salvage title, I would wait for another.
