Thinking about a cabriolet
What say you, Pelicanites?
I see nothing in maintenance in regard to a timing belt, unless it falls under "etc".
A bit rough around the edges, but no major body damage unlike my 924S

Under $3k. That car is beat pretty bad. For the right price, it would be a great project.

Here is an 'average' condition S2 Cab sell recently on BaT no-reserve auction for $5,300. The owner was disappointed for sure. Maybe it was a fluke? http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-porsche-944-s2-cabriolet/

Really good ones sell in the mid-teens.

Be sure about the timing belt. Timing belt failure on a 16V 944 often destroys the cylinder head. The head is very hard to find used, and usually VERY expensive..

No major body damage? You have no idea what is under that hideous home repaired fender.

You have a point, but areas under the fender can be assessed much easier than internal engine parts.

In the process of searching for parts, I spied this lil "that'll buff right out" beauty..

Wrecked, with a salvage title, I would wait for another.
