BHCC outdoes itself "65 cabriolet:"
V8 powered 911.
Claimed to be 1965... but center vented dash, power brakes, later engine latch panel, later suspension, etc., etc., etc.... probably a VIN-swapped SC or later cab... ![]()

YUK is right. I think I tasted just a little vomit on viewing. techweenie is right, that's no '65.
From what I can see it's based on a 3.2 Carrera. Alex better be careful, the DMV inspector may want a close look at this one. Hit's all the 1980's sour notes- Turbo look (it does actually have one), Ferrari style side vents, gaudy Gotti wheels. Are the front and rear tanks for transporting blow? OMG, ther are not enough U's in FUUUGLY to cover this abortion. |

Hot setup with the battery next to the "nitrous" tank. Mounted the other direction - and properly strapped down and pointing out the rear window - it might be considered a Jato (jet assisted take off) bottle. Reminds me of a Darwin winner!

Yes they sell junk. BUT they are honest about it. Where else are you going to find a place that is solely devoted to exotic project cars. I can't think of any dealers off hand that deal in these running project cars.
This car is not a nice car. But they have in the past had a lot of very interesting cars.

Always nice to find a few hard to find parts for your early 911 cab restoration at the nearest Home Depot.....

dang.
Thought the tank in the frunk was the NOS. That's actually a makeshift fuel tank. And the thing in front of it (I didn't read OP's description close enough) was a radiator. That led me to the back... ![]() Not exactly OJ's glove on the seat covers. Love the faux racing holes at the top. ![]()

We can start with me telling Manos to get off his arse and find his own cars and stop calling me trying to buy mine at wholesale. Or I can talk about the time I made a sealed bid on an estate, and so did BHCC, I outbid them. When he was told he was outbid and Adam had won he offered 20% over whatever I bid, the guy hung up on him and I bought my cars. But you can also search where he sells cars that have been in floods, a 914-6 that was in Hurricane Sandy, no mention of flood damage. 914World.com - The fastest growing online 914 community! Seriously, you could write a book about BHCC. They are very very good at finding cars and will pay a lot of money for them so they knock a lot of people off the block but to say they are totally honest about all their cars is a stretch. A recent comment on the 356 Registry from a guy who bought a 356A from there was, "Mr Manos and I have vastly different opinions on the definition of "well-sorted". Porsche356registry.org • View topic - New Member: 1957 356A Sunroof Coupé The reason companies like this can operate how they do is most of the cars they sell go far far away, so there is no chance of retribution from an angry buyer. Not like in the old days where someone would show back up at your house or your car lot with a bunch of friends to re-Negotiate. The internet has both its good things and bad things. ---Adam

I was sent by a fellow in England to see a car at BHCC he was about to pull the trigger on. They had not revealed to him that the rear wheels didn't turn because every cavity in the car was filled with silt from a flood. You can imagine how it smelled. Even the ignition keyway was filled with silt. There were water level marks 1/3 of the way up across all the gauges. BHCC was "unaware."

Must be another "Mad Skillz Custom" car. Someone better snatch it up. His work is hard to come by.

Going back to the car in the OP however, there's obviously no coverup and it's presented in all its awesome glory ! So the BHCC bashing comments in this thread are a miss. Last edited by pmax; 02-27-2017 at 03:43 PM.. |
