I have one and they are still some out their. The seat material is getting pretty hard to come by. Some say they value about the same as a regular 911s but I disagree. I think anything that makes your car stand out some helps the value. Sounds like someone modified yours to make it look like one. How is it different? Thanks and good luck. Spencer

It isn't different - all numbers match, It has th correct paint code, I can't figure it out. I guess someone could have switched the interior and "bought" a plaque..have you ever tried to find one of these plaques? It is impossible

Nice shorts. lol

Yeah your car looks like too detailed of a conversion for that to be done plus who would make a replica of that if its not WAAAY more desireable like an RS or something. I'd check to make sure they have their records right. Anybody else that you can check with?

These days I wouldn't put too much credence in the COA's--check out some recent threads--the record "keeping" is hit-and-miss at best. You are as likely to have an authentic Silver Anniversary Edition as not. I would go by what you actually see and can verify yourself on the car.

ossiblue is spot on. You should also be able to contact PCNA and get some help regarding the facts. If not let me know I have contacts in Stuttgart that should be able to find out for you. My money is that she's the real deal....

Jeff, your car is beautiful. I have a Silver Anniversary coupe #164 and I purchased it from another Pelican about 3 years ago. My car was fully documented back to the original owner so I know mine was a true Silver Anniversary from the factory. I am the fourth owner of the car and I have all of the original parts including the seats which had the same upholstery as your picture shows. I suppose someone could have converted your car at some point but like you said, the upholstery is indeed very rare unless the conversion was done a long time ago.

Some things to look for are the bluish vinyl on the bolsters of the seats which are impossible to find nowadays. One thing I noticed between your car and my car is my dash plaque is located at the bottom right corner of the dash door and it seems like yours is on the left side under the knob. I don't know where the factory placed the plaque, but I am assuming they should all be in the same place.

I understand porsche built 1063 units in all and half came to the US. Half of the production units were coupes and the rest were targas. Mine still looks original but it has had some mods to improve it's performance.

As other's said, I wouldn't rely too much on the COA as there have been quite a bit of controversy with accuracy lately. I really don't know how else to identify these cars as they had the same vin numbers as the standard 75 911S.

PM me if you want to compare paint code numbers. I still have the original paint code plaque on the A pilar. I believe the diamond metallic silver was specific to these cars.

Andy

There are two celebrations here.. in 1975, Porsche was celebrating 25 years of vehicle production.

In 1989, Porsche celebrated 25 years of 911 production. The '89s were available as Coupe, Targa and Cab, if I recall correctly.

Hi I have Silver Anniversary Edition #332. Any one have any lines or ideas for upholstery material. I need the seat bottoms replaced. These cars are keepers.

My father has a 75 coupe and a 89 cab. The coupe has a very nice interior and he is currently doing body work. The cab is top shape too. How many of these were made?
