968 Clubsport
Guys, what is the market like for 968 Clubsports in the US? I am based in Canada and helping somebody sell off a collection of Porsches including a 93 CS left hand drive that was imported from Japan. I can't find much in the forums. I'm assuming because they weren't brought into the US. From my understanding they will be legal at 25 years of age which is coming up shortly.
These are fabulous cars and the example I have is near perfect finished in Speed Yellow. Can anybody put a value on this? or if anybody would like to discuss this particular vehicle in more detail email me directly at jd@dren.ca Thanks, Joe |

Damn! I want to see pictures.
I would ask on Rennlist. There's a good 968 group there. I'm just guessing but I suspect it's up in the $40s.

While I'm at it I'll throw this one out there as I work my way through the collection. 89 930 Turbo cab 20,000 miles diamond blue metallic over burgundy interior. This is a one off special wishes car loaded with all kinds of crazy options I've never seen. I think this one may be the crown jewel, or the 964 RS NGT that I'm going over now.

There is a 968 Club Sport turbo in Speed Yellow near me in Va , saw it last year at the cars and coffee.
These are serious track and collectible examples I'm sure they could easily fetch mid to upper fifties for one in excellent shape. The one I saw had RollCage , bolt on flares, Speedlines, and Recaro Pole Positions...cool ride post pics please ! Bert

 Big plus: ++ Recaro SPG's ++ Color ++ no sunroof Plus + Manual windows Does it have A/C? If so, in my book it is a small minus. Good to see original bits, amber turn signals etc. Easy to put right: - For '93 it's got incorrect wheels Front wing/door, does it have orange peel, or is it just the camera / reflection? Japan history, presume maintenance records lost from that period? Value-wise, it's got features that many like.

Tons of Japanese service records and bills, translated. Back half and roof look like original paint. Front section probably painted but looks like no body work. Curious about the wheels, I'm going to check on that.

There was a very nice yellow CS for sale here a couple of years ago. Around 20K kms and around 25K Euros if I remember correctly. It sat around for a long time and the price was dropped. I contacted the Dutch seller a year later to hear if he still had it...it was sold. Would have been nice at that price.
A car like that is 50-70K euros today. |
