With that explanation, mostly the cost piece, I would also just keep the 930.

In this market I would sell both - get a nice red 991 and a new outfit to go with it

As I said before, I love my 991 and you will, too.

It is not really a question of affordability but merely the fact that I don't drive these cars as often as I would like to and if I am to spend these dollars better optimize the time I can drive these cars;) hence the week the 991 and in the weekend I think the 930 will take the lead...

I think therefore the 993 will go.

Thanks for the input guys!!

kids grow, they wont fit in the back of your 991 in a few years. you'll be in the same situation again but with a depreciated asset

I have several p cars and small kids. When my kids were born my wife said either sell it or drive it. 10yrs later the daily drivers sit a lot. Kids go to school rain or shine in a soft window targa, 914 to lax practice at night, grocery shopping in a 74 Carrera, wife drives the boxster weekly, 356 to church, 993 on road trips.

Like stated in the earlier post. You just need to make up your mind to drive them. Is your 993 going to melt in the rain. The 991 must have a coating on it. Like an M&M

Last story At the Hershey swap meet a few years ago I happened to be looking at an 73 911T that was far from perfect that was for sale and talking to my father about the car. A young couple (doctors) came up and asked what I thought about the car as they were looking at it as "something fun for the weekend". We spoke for a few minutes about the car and they left and got into their panamara turbo. I turned to my father and said isn't that suppose to be the "fun" car.

I have to broadly agree with you but having to endure daily city traffic not sure a manual 993 would give me so much driving pleasure... life is unfort about compromises ... I told in my opening message it was not going to be easy decision:D ...
