1980 993 GT2 tribute worth
Have a few people ask if it is for sale, and I tell them everything is for sale for the right price! but what is it worth?
1980 body with clean California title, currently registered Fiberglass fenders and front and rear bumper/headlights/taillights, etc. 993 door handles and mirrors, handles and ignition keyed alike 993 front and rear windows 993 door frames/glass and 1/4 windows 993 wipers custom mated to 80 wiper motor complete 993 interior, leather door and 1/4 panels, 993 turbo rear seats have the center console and a cut metal console out of a 964/993 993 oil tank RSR front scoop New Setrab front 72 row oil cooler 1990 3.6L with supposedly 45k miles on it, but no way of proving Patrick Motorsports conversion items 993 turbo oil filter set up 993 complete exhaust 915 rebuilt with billet bearing retaining plate and side cover, wavetrac installed. Kinesis supercup 17" rims 993 twin turbo brakes/calipers White faced SC gauges (only the trip on the speedo not working) A bunch of other spare parts for SC and 993 I'm sure theres more i'm missing but that is the main part. Paint is pretty good but does have some touch up needed. GT2 flares were bonded to the fenders and seam blended in (bummed they did it without asking) Currently have the interior apart except front seats and seat belts to clean and install sound deadening. For me the fun has always been in the build, and typically when I'm done and have driven it around awhile something else catches my eye... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

$35k if it still has the SC suspension
$42k if it is RSR/coilover suspension These conversions are pretty common and, unfortunately, unloved. Fiberglass is a value killer. Re-converted race cars are selling in the $45k range with super-hot and valuable drivetrains and super-spendy suspensions. (If it were the stock SC with the 3.6 and 993 turbo brakes you'd be in the $50k range) |

That's about the ballpark I was thinking. The car when I had purchased it years ago had already been converted to 993 fenders and 1/4 with a 3.6l, but the motor blew while tracking so the pulled the drivetrain and suspension and that is how I got it so I decided to go for a GT2 since the damage was done.

This is a perfect builder for a GTL class PRC racecar. Those guys are who you want to see this car.
