Receipt from Porsche Cars North America, Inc.?
Prepping my '83 Cab w/ 136K for auction, came across a receipt (see pic)
from 'Porsche Cars North America, Inc.' for R/R engine, reseal, clutch, new cab seals, alternator. Date is July 1991. Was this the old Porsche N.A. headquarters in Reno, NV.? ? they did service and repair? :-) rate was $54.00/hour (!) ![]() ![]()

Yep. PCNA was headquartered in Reno until the move to Atlanta in 1998. I was the sales/business mgr for a Porsche dealer during this time. Coincidentally, I sold a (then new) 1996 C4S to the CEO of a large local company that also relocated to the Atlanta area shortly after. Georgia was very aggressive in courting business relocation

I think OP's surprise was primarily at the fact that you could bring the car to be serviced at the headquarters.

That's really cool. Does anyone else have any stories of their cars being serviced by PCNA?

Apparently they still offer service. Not sure if it's on a limited or selective basis:

Hourly rate seems meaningless.
They can charge you 23 hours for an oil filter. (The book rate guideline is a myth) Or, they can charge you $600 for the oil filter.

FWIW, our dealer service rate in the mid to late 90's was approx $90/hr for Porsches, $80 for VW/Audi. Same techs.
