What's it worth! 87' G50

Ok. I own a couple 911's and i'm thinking of letting my G50 go to focus on getting my rally car done and also buy a Sprinter for camping and pulling the rally car.

Basic stats are as follows.

Very clean 87' with 90k miles. A lot a fresh parts including a total suspension revamp a couple years ago. Car was owned by a friends father for over 25 years and is not all original paint (small accident). I know this as it was owned by a friends father for over 20 years. Car had sat for almost 15 when I bought it in 2014. At that time, it got a new clutch, brakes revamped, tank cleaned and filters replaced. She's a great drivers car and I love it, but I don't need two. Car is a killer and clean driver.

Only real issue is that the AC is weak and it's getting time for a valve job. I could do this prior to sale or just sell it as is. Using a quart every 300-500 miles.

A quart every 300-500 is pretty excessive. Does it leak? Sounds like it needs a top end sooner than later. I would get a leak down test and tune up/valve job before selling. If the engine is healthly, and the accident was minor I would say it will sell in the $40-$45k range all day. Looks great. Perfect stance.

Beautiful car.

Price could fluctuate quite a bit depending on how a PPI goes, especially with the info you disclosed. Rust could also swing the price a bit.

BaT provides some good proxies - anywhere from lower 30's to upper 40's, depending on all the variables. Porsche Impact Bumper 911 For Sale - BaT Auctions

I've been on the sidelines for quite some time watching the market. A G50 car in that color will certainly get interest, just depends on how well sorted the big items are.

If you list it I'm in the Midwest (looks like IL or MI plates) and would certainly have interest - feel free to PM me. Best of luck!

This car has ZERO rust and leak down / compression is good. Just need's guides as most 3.2's do. I may do this prior to selling the car. Interior is excellent also.

Sounds like a good one.

Here's a comp, in addition to the BaT cars:

And this one, which, if my eye is accurate, is the same beautiful Prussian Blue as yours, but without the G50:

Guess these comps show the market. Prices seem lower than I would expect. I was gonna guess $40 plus.

If that is the case I wouldn't take anything less than $40k. BAT might be the way to go.

Agreed, if this 84 targa with a cheap repaint and high mls is over 30 then your nice car is certainly over 40k.

P.S. What is that Sprinter for? An Uber for disabled people living off road?

He said he needs it to tow his rally racecar. Some people actually drive their cars. And others even drive their cars in dirt.

You country folks are very lucky - try driving in metro traffic - not fun! Running and bicycles all the way here in Cph.

Yup, back to the world of motorsport. Bought this car back in 2013 just for that, but I've been busy with plenty of other things and now it's time. After rallying for years, track days just don't do it.

Love the way you organize the parts - just the way I like it. Clean and (mostly) original!

accident/damage/repair details will play a role in determining value.
